Scope and Content

The collection of Campus Architectural Drawings includes original blueprints and drawings of remodeling work for various University buildings during the twentieth century. Among them are architect Frederic DeLongchamp's drawings of the Mackay School of Mines and the Mackay Science building. Some sets include drawings by the University's Civil Engineering Professor John A. Bonell, who was also a structural engineer for the State of Nevada Planning Board. Also included is a set of drawings for the University of Nevada System's Claude Howard Administration Building which was the location for the System Chancellor's offices.

Restrictions

Collection is open for research. Materials must be used on-site; advance notice suggested. Access to and use of parts of this collection may be restricted under provisions of state or federal law.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

2013 transfer to Archives from Facilities Services' storage in the Getchell Building.
