Title:  Nevada Women's Archives Project Records (AC 0657)
Abstract:  The records consist of descriptions of the Archives project, correspondence, financial records; minutes of its Advisory Board, information about Jean Ford's activities in coordinating the project, survey responses concerning potential historical documents, and resources available in university libraries and other Nevada organizations supporting the history of women in Nevada. Of interest are two issues of the FEMNET Newsletter published by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Title:  Autograph book (AC 0297)
Abstract:  In 1934, while on a student recruitment trip, university President, Walter E. Clark, and his wife, Euphemia Clark, were involved in a car accident. The Women's Faculty Club wrote poems and notes in an autograph book to Mrs. Clark, an active member and former president of the club.

Title:  University of Nevada, Reno University Women's Club records (AC 0413)
Abstract:  The purpose of The Faculty Wives Club was to raise funds to support campus activities, student scholarships and the libraries. The collection consist of correspondence, membership lists, scholarship committee records, programs, treasurer's reports, and includes copies of the club newsletter, La Pluma.

Title:  Willa Oldham Ramsden Papers (96-49)
Abstract:  Willa Oldham Ramsden moved to Boulder City, Nevada, in 1957 where she and her husband, Clifton John Oldham, raised Appaloosa horses and where she began writing articles for local newspapers. In 1970, they relocated to Carson City where Willa became well known as a writer and community activist. Her collection includes personal information, professional activity material, material on horses, correspondence, articles, speeches, and copies of her two books on Carson City history.

Title:  Ronald M. James Papers (2010-10)
Abstract:  Ronald M. James is an historian and former administrator of the Nevada State Historic Preservation Office (1983-2012) and author or editor of over a dozen books and numerous articles. He is known for his knowledge of Virginia City and writings on Nevada's Comstock Lode period as well as about the state's architectural history. In 2014, he was inducted into the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame.

Abstract:  The Women's Resource Center opened in September 1980 to provide a space in which women could meet, talk, study, and organize programs and events for both university and community women. It was an active part of the University of Nevada, Reno until it closed in 2001. Collection includes advisory board minutes, annual reports, budgets, bylaws, correspondence, newsletters, information about the Center's history and activities, and material about regional organizations providing socioeconomic support for women and children.

Abstract:  Sally Zanjani is a historian and former adjunct professor in the University of Nevada, Reno Political Science Department. She is the author of ten books and over sixty articles exploring the history of Nevada from the territorial period through the 19th century. Papers include research materials for Zanjani's numerous books and articles.
