Abstract:  The University of Nevada, Reno Police Services records consist of annual reports prepared in compliance with NRS 396.329, other reports, campus emergency procedures manuals, issues of Campus Safety, campus safety alerts, brochures, newspaper clippings, and marketing items. Of note is an article in the Campus Law Enforcement Journal about the University of Nevada, Reno hosting the 54th Annual Conference of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators in 2012.

Abstract:  The University Police Department records date from 1971-2010, bulk dates the 1990s. They include five annual reports, the 25th anniversary edition of "A Reason for Tears! A Journal Dealing with Drug Abuse among Young Americans (1992);" a Campus Safety Information newsletter (1995); and a Campus Security Act Reported Crime Statistics summary for 1997. Newspaper clippings include the obituary of retired police officer David R. Wood (1921-2010), who served on the campus police force from 1969-1984.

Title:  Records of the President of the University of Nevada, Reno, Joseph N. Crowley (AC 0548)
   
Abstract:  The Records of the President of the University of Nevada, Reno, Joseph N. Crowley consist of administrative files, bylaws, correspondence, planning documents, and material about academic units, the Board of Regents, campus committees, and university athletics, as well as reports and columns Crowley wrote for the Silver & Blue alumni magazine. Correspondents include U. S. Senators Richard Bryan and Harry Reid and Nevada Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa. Among the reports are the 1999 Core Curriculum Program Review and various accreditation reports. Miscellaneous material includes the 2005 "Washoe K-16 Data Profile" by the Education Collaborative of Washoe County's Joint Data Profile Committee. There is also a 2006 study about the Millennium Scholarship and a copy of Richard O. Davies' "Sports Gambling in America; An Historical Perspective." Of particular interest is a copy of a draft manuscript for Robert Laxalt's short story "Rodeo."
